About the Courses
TECA is for anyone who wants to clean professionally, from school leavers and people looking for a new career to experienced cleaners adding specialist skills. We also train whole teams for cleaning companies, facilities managers and businesses with in-house staff.
No. Professional Cleaning Fundamentals starts from the basics. Our biohazard courses are suitable for beginners, though some cleaning experience helps.
In-person courses run at our training venue in Leeds (LS8 5DR). Our sharps and specialist modules are online, so you can learn from anywhere at your own pace.
Professional Cleaning Fundamentals ends with a short exam on the day. The pass mark is 80%, and successful learners receive their CPD certificate.
Professional Cleaning Fundamentals is CPD accredited. Our other courses include a TECA certificate of completion, and we’re working towards accreditation for them.
Yes. Every learner receives a certificate in their name on successful completion.
CPD accreditation doesn’t come with funding on its own, but some learners have their place paid for through an employment support programme, their Jobcentre work coach or their employer. If you’re working with a work coach or caseworker, ask them about TECA.
Professional Cleaning Fundamentals is a one-day course. The Two Day Biohazard Cleaner Programme runs over two days. Our online modules are completed at your own pace.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. PPE is provided on the day.
Courses are led by Megan, founder of TECA, Dean & Co Cleaning Services and Emergency Cleaning Yorkshire, supported by experienced Dean & Co technicians. You’ll learn from people who carry out this work every week.
Training gives you practical skills and a certificate you can show employers. Many cleaning and facilities companies value evidence of professional training when hiring.
